ABOUT ME

My name is Rachel...

I am a PhD student in my kinda 2nd, kinda 3rd semester in Regent University's Communications Department.  I teach communications and media for the College of Southern Maryland and University of Maryland University College.  I am the mom of two awesome boys, 4 cats, and an 80 pound Labrador retriever that thinks she's a cat.  I live about 30 minutes south of Washington DC, and I have been a resident of the DC suburbs all of my life.  I play roller derby and I am the president of my league, which is also a volunteer-oriented non-profit organization.  I am an ova-lacto vegetarian...because I would die without cheese.  I love to garden, read, make jewelry, and watch the latest sci-fi and fantasy movies with my kids.  I have a BA in Communication Arts from Notre Dame of Maryland University and an MA in Communication & Leadership from Gonzaga University.  In the late summer of 2019, I'm going to marry the love of the second half of my life...a 6'5" bearded vegan derby boy with a culinary arts background and ocean blue eyes that melt my very soul.
